Trans Care

A safe space for transgender and non-binary clients to connect deeply with their bodies

Trans Care is Health Care

With my transgender & non-binary clients, I provide a safe space for them to take their connection with their bodies to a deeper level. I aid them in transforming scar tissue and deep adhesions into functional tissue while honoring the story their scars tell, aligning their internal sense of self with their outward expression, and releasing old emotional trauma.

Care that meets you where you are

  • Mobilizing Scar Tissue

Scars tell our sacred stories. Whether internal or external, they draw a map of the experiences of our lives that have left an imprint on us. Scars can become physical and emotional restrictions that hold us back. Getting stuck in old patterns and stories stops us from fully embracing who we are in the present moment. My approach to working with scars is to aid in transforming scar tissue and deep adhesions into functional tissue while honoring the story the scar tells.

  • Aligning Internal Sense of Self with Outward Expression

You have taken this significant step of surgery to support yourself feeling more connected to your body and your body being more congruent to who you really are. As an addition to your gender affirming care, learning to become grounded in the present moment through bodily sensations can support you in truly embracing the life you want. I can help you build this relationship between your physical self and your inner awareness through CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, and meditation.

  • Releasing Old Trauma

We cannot indeed be free and live in the present moment until we acknowledge and work with our old trauma. As we grow and have experiences, it is not just the mind that remembers the experience. Your body holds the story, the memory, and the feeling. If the experience stays static in our body, we will build physical and emotional compensatory patterns to work around it. CranioSacral Therapy works with your body's tissues (fascia, nerves, fluids) to help release and integrate those stories into your internal perception of yourself. SomatoEmotional Release layers dialogue/talk with the bodywork experience to deepen the process. What stories do you want to release or re-write?
